Gmail Setings For Third Party App Login
For signing in a Gmail account with third-party apps users have to follow a three steps process. Both those steps we have provided in below sections. Apply the steps shown below and easily login to Gmail account with third-party software:-
- Step 1:- Enable IMAP Setings
- Step 2:- Enable 2-Step Verification
- Step 3:- Create Google App Password
Steps to easily enable IMAP setings in Gmail account.
Step 1:- Login to your Gmail account and press the "Gear" icon from the right corner of your screen
Step 2:- From quick setings screen click on "See all settings" option
Step 3:- In the next opened screen, now move to "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab
Step 4:- Move the "IMAP Access" section and select "Enable IMAP" radio button and press "Save Changes" button.
Steps to 2-Step Verification setings in Google Account: -
Step 1:- Login to your Gmail account, hit on your profile, then click on "Manage Your Google Account".
Step 2:- Move to Security tab, from next screen and click on "2-Step" Verification in Signing in to Google section
Step 3:- Click on "Get Started" button, then click on "Try It Now" button for moving to furthur process
Step 4:- Enter your phone number, choose "Text Message" or "Prone Call" option and click on "Next".
Step 5:- Enter the code (given by Google) and click on "Next"
Step 6:- Finally, click on Turn On and Enable 2-Step verification in google account.
Steps to Generate Google App Password for third-party software.
Step 1:- Login to google account and click on your Profile icon.
Step 2:- Then hit on "Manage Your Google Account" option.
Step 3:- Click on "Security" Tab and hit on App passwords option from "Signing in to Google" section
Step 4:- Select App or Device from given list or Add a custom App name and click on "Generate".
Step 6:- A window with Google app password will appear on your computer screen, simply copy password and click on "Done".
After completing these steps, users will easily get their Google app password for third-party apps login.
